“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight.”
--Proverbs 3: 5
“Jesus said to him, ‘Again, it is written,
Do not put the Lord your God to the test’.”
--Matthew 4: 7
I love to go camping and bought my current car, a cute, little PT Cruiser—a “woodie” that my kids made fun of—because it came with a tiny, matching trailer for my camping gear. There are two problems with this trailer, however, besides the kidding I received from Marci and Phil. The first is that my recumbent bicycle won’t fit on the back of my car when the trailer is attached. The second is that I can never find anyone to go camping with me, trailer or not...

Thoughts to Ponder/Points for Discussion
- What do you think the phrase “Do not put the Lord your God to the test” means? Was the camping trip described in this story a foolish test?
- What are your fears? Are you able to trust the Lord with all your heart and meet them head on?
